Pre-school (Montessori Learning)

We adopt the Montessori teaching method, offering a curriculum that covers the major developmental areas, namely, Sensory, Practical Life, Language, Math, Art, Geography, and Science. We also offer a strong phonetic and reading program, which provides step-by-step guidance, helping students comfortably become confident readers before they start kindergarten. Our goal is to create learners who will become the respectful and intellectual generation of the future. We strive to create a happy place where each child will develop a genuine curiosity of learning and work collaboratively with the society around them. Creating a safe program where children are free to explore at their own pace in a mixed age classroom is what we aim to achieve. We hope to integrate core ethical values in children, so that they will acquire a love for learning as well as possess qualities of confidence and independence. By allowing children to work on realistic materials, we will create future leaders.

Emergent K/ Kinder

Early Explorers benefit strongly through hands-on learning of Montessori education. Students learn conceptual skills at a subconscious level where those manifestations of knowledge always creep in unnoticeably. With the subconscious learning and “can-do” attitude from the hands-on Montessori education, students start to apply those skills and knowledge by answering more academic questions in the text books including blending and spelling words, reading and understanding sentences in short paragraphs to answer comprehension questions, analyzing sequences and cause and effects from reading texts. Students also start to write and express their ideas with words and sentences. In Mathematics, they start to learn how to comprehend questions in order to connect the arithmetical and ordinal numbers to solve math problems.

Lower Elementary Grade 1 - 3

This is the most important developmental stage where foundations are set. In Mathematics, the curriculum is emphasized on the arithmetics skills and accuracies in the four operations and fractions. Measurements, statistics and geometry concepts were introduced. The curriculum comes with word problems and applying different strategies and Mathematical models in solving the problems. Language Art is also a very heavily emphasized subject by dissecting reading comprehension, grammar, vocabularies and literatures from early stages. Students spend substantial periods on genre writing including informative and expository writing, narrative and creative writing and argumentative and opinions writing. Science subjects are focused on states of matter and biology and life sciences. Students are exposed early on Robotics and Coding by following the Code.org curriculum.

Upper Elementary Grade 4 - 5

This is the most critical year for students to show their competitive edge by using critical thinking skills and applying them on solving complex Math problems. In Language Art, students learn to identify and apply contextual clues to draw conclusions and inferences for response reading and writing. The writing program also helps to strengthen skills and techniques on genre writing with more complex structures and expressions. Students should be able to stand out on distinctive styles and voices. During those years, students are prepared for more advanced subjects including Pre-algebra readiness, STEM based programming language (Python & Robotics) and Readiness for Integrated Chinese 1 and more advanced levels of Math competitions.

Middle School Grade 6 - 8

This is the most tricky developmental stage where some students are set on their longer term higher education goals where others just started to do some check and balances on what they should look for in the higher school years. Therefore, our Middle School program focuses on pathway learning which will help to identify students’ strengths at the first place. This allows students to pursue and get qualified for advanced and honors credits to match the targeted academic profiles. On the other hand, our advanced and enriched contents also allow students to get prepared for the attempts of different areas of studies in different electives in. Some of the advanced topics include economics, history, human geography and foreign cultural studies.
